Artists I Love: Jaadin Adele

Her smile is genuine and warm. Her eyes sparkle with ideas. Her energy is friendly, soft, welcoming. And her watercolors are pure. Abstract but strongly reminiscent of nature's colors, textures and movement. The babbling blue-green of backyard streams.  The colorful rustle of petals across spring flower beds. You lose yourself in the sweeping loops of pale oranges, almost smelling the sweet fragrance of peonies in bloom.

Jaadin Adele is a Brooklyn-based watercolor artist, friend, and fellow New York Rising Tide Society member. In celebration of her upcoming 30th birthday, she's throwing herself, not a party, but an art show!

For her "Multiples of 30" themed art show, Jaadin has painted 30 new watercolor triptychs specifically for her 30th birthday.

Her approachable and unique style evokes the beauty of nature in its lushness, light and bright colors. All the pieces clearly make her heart sing.

And for Jaadin, art is a family business. Her toddler, Charlotte, helped swirl the colors in #5 (below), and her husband, Jeff, handcrafts the perfect wooden frames for her work.

If you're in NYC, head over to her show on Thursday April 14th at Rabbithole Projects in DUMBO (Brooklyn). Tickets are free but need to be reserved in advance here.

With advance ticket receive 30% off, AND to be frank, the work is already a steal at $30-$180!

She'll be posting a painting a day on her Instagram (@jaadinadele) and Facebook so follow along in the lead up to the show. And a pre-sale shop will be coming soon to her website: www.jaadinadelestudio.com
